Tom is an accomplished product leader and a startup advisor with a passion for advancing the integration of autonomous systems in society for the betterment of human life and economic efficiency. He leverages his extensive experience as a former military drone pilot and co-founder of an innovative drone unit in the Israeli Special Forces, aimed at improving infantry soldiers' safety on the battlefield.Post military service, Tom served as a representative for Elbit Systems, Israel's largest defense contractor, traveling the world to train military and government personnel and implement operational drone programs, solidifying Israel's position as a leader in the field.In 2015, Tom joined Skycatch, a commercial drone start-up, where he made a significant impact as one of the drone industry's first Product Managers, introducing and delivering cutting-edge drone solutions to the construction and mining industries.He then took on the role of Head of Product Management for Applied Research at HOVER, focusing on increasing efficiency in the home improvement sector through software automation at a time of intense supply and labor shortages caused by the pandemic. Tom also serves as the Product Lead for Mapping Technology at Waymo, Google's self-driving car division, where he was committed to bringing safe and accessible autonomous mobility to society.Tom currently runs his own management consulting business specializing in empowering startup CEOs and founders in the robotics, drones, and AI industries.Tom holds a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School.
