As the assistant manager and the host, I had two main responsibilities. First, I was the face of the establishment ensuring maximum satisfaction of the patrons, and second, I was the individual responsible for flow between the kitchen and the floor crews. I have successfully managed, with staff support, the dining service for up to 4 events per evening (up to approx. 1000 guests), coordinated the kitchen crew to ensure the meals are being served within the agreed time frame, and ensured any outstanding balances or matters are settled at the conclusion of the event. Other responsibilities included: assigned and monitored training of new employees, performed nightly liquor inventory, oversaw the final banquet hall set up, coordinated and oversaw taste tests events for potential customers, acted as the key resource person to the patrons booking the events, and resolved any issues which may have arisen throughout the event, up to and including dispatching emergency services.
