VP Government / External Relations: You know how governments and multi-national firms often misunderstand each other and miss opportunities to succeed? I solve this because I have learned first-hand that mastering the complex and often veiled dynamic where government, politics, media, and business intersect requires a rare combination of knowledge, skills, and experience. Even though I’m a public and government affairs person by trade, I will always be a diplomat at heart. I’m incapable of pitching something in which I myself do not wholeheartedly believe. I have a passion for international relations and the unique motivations that drive people of diverse backgrounds and revel in knowing that I can help bridge the cultural divide to promote mutual understanding. I also have a knack for evaluating the risks and opportunities associated with operating in hardship, dangerous, or politically challenging environments.As a Foreign Service Officer, I served in a variety of roles with responsibility for producing political and economic analysis, coordinating and executing communications and media outreach, leading complex law enforcement and security programs, and commercial/foreign policy development and implementation.
