The Europe strategy was shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award (THELMA) in 2018. In my final year in post I was given responsibility for meeting challenging recruitment targets for the University’s new Amsterdam campus. Despite a short recruitment time frame and limited product offer, I secured a healthy initial intake which allowed the campus to launch successfully. My experience in establishing a successful overseas campus led to me being promoted to the newly created role of Head of Transnational Education in January 2019. Show less

E-Learning Development Officer- In this role I was responsible for developing an automated system to create student handbooks using the Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment. The project involved working closely with staff from across the University to develop standardised handbook elements and create a generic handbook structure for all programmes in the faculty. Research Officer- This was a varied role where I supported a numerous functions across the Research Office. I worked closely with researchers to facilitate funding bids. I also worked on improving efficiency and functionality using the electronic document management system.Scholarships Officer- I was employed by the Scholarships Office during a period of considerable change. My key role was management of the University's scholarship portfolio from initial application through to payment of funds. Due to a full team staff change, much of my work involved rebuilding scholarship management systems and working to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the office function.
