I feel very fortunate to work as university professor. In this position, I have the privilege to spend most of my working time helping extraordinary students from the Polytechnic University of Valencia to flourish as persons and to become competent practitioners. This role has been possible thanks, first of all, to my parents, whom I learned the importance of acquiring the best possible training and of serving honestly to others. Another major influence comes from my experience as student at the Colegio Mayor de la Alameda, a residence hall concerted to the University of Valencia. The seven years I spent there as resident nurtured my intellectual background remarkably through reading great books, participating in relevant conversations, and enjoying a vibrant cultural life. Undoubtedly, this training was an invaluable complement to my degree studies in Telecommunication Engineering. From 1999 to 2012, I ran the Colegio Mayor de la Alameda. During this time, I tried to give back the best I had received. Some of our major concerns were helping undergraduate students to think rigorously and to draw their attention to social problems. In 2012 I received my PhD in Journalism from the University of Valencia. My thesis dissertation was about blogs. In 2013 I was visiting research fellow at the University of Bentley Center of Business Ethics, Massachusetts, where I studied the logic of unconditional giving in organizations. In 2014 I joined the University of Valencia Mediaflows research group, which studies political communication. From 2015 to 2019 I taught Scientific Communication at the Valencian International University. This experience led me to join the knowledge from my two academic degrees: engineering and journalism. Those years were very creative in my development as teacher. In 2017 I started teaching Marketing at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 2019 I got my full-time position as senior lecturer. That same year I received my master’s degree in Social Sciences Research Methods from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. My research topics are digital marketing, political communication, and organizational behavior. I combine my activity as marketing lecturer with researching on the history of ideas and the current cultural debates. Furthermore, I am very interested in studying the university training. But above all, I love having good conversations with friends.
