Tomas has grown up around construction sites. With a builder as a father and a carpenter for an older brother, Tomas was already very familiar with construction techniques and processes before he even began drafting. After high school he began studying mechanical engineering during which he picked up his CAD skills for computer based drawing. After only a year of engineering Tomas decided that the engineering discipline was a little too pragmatic and was keen to try his hand at something with a little more creativity involved.Tomas slotted straight into the family construction company providing the new service of design and drafting. Being solely responsible for all design jobs to come through the office, Tomas was able to work on a variety of different projects and with a number of different consultants. Tomas' experience lies mainly in the residential sector in designing new homes, extensions, renovations and unit developments. Though he can undertake commercial design projects, his passion and focus for this business is in providing his clients with a home that is beautiful, functional and meets the needs of the occupants. He has worked with other consultants in the industry including architects, interior designers, engineers, town planners and many more.Tomas holds the following qualifications and accreditations:Registered Building Practitioner - Draftsperson (Architectural)Diploma of Building Design and TechnologyHIA Greensmart Accrediation - Sustainable water management - Renovations - Sustainable building materialsCertificate IV in Building and Construction Management (Part)Tomas is also a member of the Housing Industry Association's Building Design and Drafting Council.
