About Tomas Hernandez

I am originally a West Coast native, but have spent more than 20 years of my life in Clarksville, TN. I am a family man at heart that loves traveling creating memories with my wife and kids. Over 20 years of experience in the US Army has taught me a lot of things about prioritization in my life. For a long time in my life the mission came first at the cost of my time with my family. Although difficult, I would not change any of the experiences I had with my brothers in the 101st Airborne Division and 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). With the next chapter of my life on the horizon, I am looking forward to making new friends and experiences. My why is "To be present, so that others are inspired to be their best self". What that really means is I have a definitive desire to develop and train teams and leaders, and to create collaborative environments. How I do that is being accountable and continuously assessing each day's requirements while monitoring moving pieces and looking ahead to what's next. I lead by example by pinpointing what I need to accomplish and then I give my full attention. I exercise servant leadership by being committed to giving my team everything I can in terms of my talent, my energy, my knowledge, my skills, and my time. My passion is to mentor and develop others by identifying impediments and roadblocks and striving to remove them so the team can work effectively. My experience as a Green Beret in 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) has helped me to excel in helping to facilitate a teams’ best work by driving projects to completion, managing timelines, anticipating project management issues and resolving them, all while having empathy for my peers. I strive to communicate with clarity, consistency and candor, process and analyze data for business decisions and am relentless at putting the customer experience first. Communication skills, relationship management and the ability to manage complex logistics through an organized approach are my strengths. My next chapter of my life begins with the Military Freefall commands of, "move to the rear, 15 seconds standby..."Gallup Strengths: Analytical / Arranger / Achiever / Relator / Deliberative
