Extensive experience of managing marine research and development projects. In charge of ROV operations and project leader at the Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences and head of CUDI (Tjärnö Centre for Underwater Documentation and Intervention) 1997 - 2013. Managing a multitude of projects dealing with surveys and survey techniques for marine environments, cold-water coral ecosystems and dynamics and functioning of benthic ecosystems. A few selected examples: PI, member of the Steering Committee and international co-ordinator in the European project COST 647 1979 - 1991; PI in the Swedish biodiversity program MARBIPP (Marine Biodiversity, Patterns and Processes), 2001 – 2006; the EU FP5 IP ACES (Atlantic Coral Ecosystem Studies); the EU FP6 IP HERMES (Hotspot Ecosystem Research on the Margins of European Seas); the EU FP7 IP HERMIONE (Hotspot Ecosystem Research and Man´s Impact On European Seas); the CORAMM-project (funded by Statoil) and partner in the EU FP6 NoE ESONET (European Seafloor Observatory Network) and EU FP7 NoE EMSO (European Multidisciplinary Seafloor Observatories Research Infrastructure). Participation as ROV-operator and biologist on international cruises to Mocambique (2010), the Skagerrak (R/V Pelagia, 2007), Mauritania (R/V Maria S Merian, 2010), the Antarctic (R/V Polarstern, 2011), the Red Sea (R/V Pelagia, 2012). Participation in 7 additional international cruises (Arctic, Norwegian Sea, Skagerrak). In the period 1986 - 1996 primarily active as CEO of private company Hydro-Vision (marine consultancy and development projects primarily based on novel imaging techniques).Publications: Countless reports and 86 scientific papers (58 Peer reviewed).
