My name is Tomas Ortola. I'm a composer and entrepreneur with experience in a wide variety of music, sound design, and voice direction. Defined by my care for other people, I want my work to be for the benefit of my community. I've called many places around the world home, but I now live in Boston, where I manage Svidanza Audio alongside Anna Cooley and Zachary Kaye.My experience is centered around concert music and audio for interactive media. Alongside Zachary Kaye and Anna Cooley, I run Svidanza Audio, a game audio company dedicated to producing quality Music, SFX, and VO for indie games that want to tell emotional, creative, and/or inspiring stories. Together, we have shipped world-class audio to 14 games, two films, and tabletop RPG campaign. Most recently, we created the sound heard on the puzzle game Time Turned (available on Steam) and wrote the music to the arcade game GoobnBalloonsDX, available on consoles Sept. 12th.Outside Svidanza, my work on "Code Blue"  (premiered with the Neither/Nor ensemble at Berklee) and the subsequent live sound exhibit "Together" are some of my proudest works. The pieces were developed from my conversations with nurses about their pandemic experience, and both are an attempt at helping the public to heal from the emotional effects of COVID-19.
