CurrentProject Objectives:Redesign the MQ-9 radome to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and simplify maintenance, enabling access and locking mechanisms for quick operation.Key Deliverables:System requirements review:-Conceptual design and analysis package-Manufacturing package with detailed drawings and materials-Test demonstrator for performance verification-Present a final CAD model and project reportWorkflow Overview:-Characterize radome dimensions and RF keep-out zones.-Develop iterative 2D flow models using publicly available data.-Conduct aero analysis in phases to validate design assumptions.-Build and test a demonstrator to meet opening and locking time requirements under specific conditions.Design Parameters: Focus on minimizing aerodynamic impact while ensuring safety and functionality in wet and windy conditions. Analyze loads using tools like XFoil and XFLR5.
