Recognized expert for failure analysis within the coiled tubing industry. • Participated in a joint industry project (5 years) that evaluated the effect of H2S exposure on the performance of CT grades through innovative testing. More than 500 CT samples tested. Results substantially changed CT industry practices regarding sour service: - Opened spectrum of reliable CT grades for sour service and established operational limits. - Established de-rating fatigue factors for sour service string management and reliable operations. - Established testing methodology, adopted by CT industry, for evaluation of new CT grades sour performance. - Subject Matter Expert on this topic• Published / presented several technical papers regarding use of coiled tubing in sour service (6), coiled tubing failure analysis and mechanisms (4), and mechanical damage in coiled tubing strings (3), contributing to the know-how of the coiled tubing industry.• Assured CT strings technical compliance and reliability by coordinating manufacturers’ products evaluation, keeping updated purchase technical specifications, and leading in the resolution of non-conformances.• Developed welding specifications, coordinated welder’s qualification, and developed internal procedure for non-destructive inspection according to ASME Code for in-house coiled tubing welding. This allowed performing internal repairs on coiled tubing string complying with international standards Show less
