I’m a Wealth Manager, a Certified Financial Planner™, and the President of Tomasetti Investment Group, LLC (TIG), a registered investment advisor and independent financial planning firm (that is a boutique by design), in Newton, Massachusetts. I work with a variety of clients, from Gen X-ers to retirees, most of whom are (or have become) friends and their well being is important to me.My Story:In 2005, I founded Tomasetti Investment Group, LLC (TIG) to guide some of my then hedge fund clients through retirement. Prior to founding TIG, I spent 16 years managing the Tomasetti Investment Limited Partnership, a hedge fund that I started in 1993.Clients work with me because of my proactive mentality and approach toward walking them toward and/or through retirement, in a way that makes them feel comfortable. Because investment management is the crux of both wealth management and financial planning, I do not “handoff” that process to a “team”; I manage my clients' portfolios just as I manage my own money. I put my name on the company so that my clients know I am responsible for their results. I have been investing (and planning) for almost my whole life, since I was a teenager. While this process is intuitive to me, I realize that it's not for most people. As a result, I really enjoy helping others, and in particular guiding them, with any questions they may have.Specialty: Fee-based Investment management and retirement planning services to individuals and families with a special focus on small business owners, retirees, and professionals.
