Conduct all responsibilities of Assistant Director position.In the absence of the Associate Director, directly responsible for the management and leadership of the Residential Education Team.Serve as Residential Life’s liaison for Student Conduct to the Center for Student Ethics and Standards.Monitor the quality of processes and tools related to the conduct process (e.g., Maxient, Administrative Actions).Oversee and train Residential Life staff around the Terms and Conditions process. Monitors conduct caseloads and provide feedback to Residence Directors and Assistant Residence Directors related to timeliness, decision letters, and sanction assignments. Collaborate with the Assistant Director for Administrative Services to oversee Office Managers’ roles and responsibilities as it relates to the conduct process and troubleshoots resolutions with them. Serves as the central Residential Life representative in the various policy operations, and oversight groups established to address campus conduct. Oversee all residential education housing issues during the summer academic term. Recruit, select, train, and supervise a graduate Summer Residence Director. Recruit, select, and train eight Summer Resident Advisors.Coordinate with Continuing and Distance Education staff to develop logistics for Summer Academy, pre-college program for 10th-12th grade students pursuing academic credit.Recruit, select, train, and supervise a Summer Academy Residence Director though the ACUHO-I internship process. Recruit, select, and train eight to ten Summer Academy Resident Advisors.Work with affiliated offices and teams for residential education issues related to summer housing.

Provided leadership and overnight for all residential education of on-campus living including indirect supervision of all live-in professional and paraprofessional staff.Directly supervised, trained, and evaluated two Assistant Directors. Coordinated systemic response to students in crisis for a residential area of 5,400 students.Served as primary Residential Life liaison on university wide student crisis response team. Chaired the Professional Recruitment, Selection and Training committee.Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and training of residence directors and graduate assistant resident directors.

Supervise, train, and evaluate five professional, masters-level Residence Directors.Provide crisis management and duty coverage for a residential area of 5,100 students.Create behavioral agreements and act as consultant for students in crisis.Co-chaired faculty and staff committee for Residential Education Team and Residential Learning CommunitiesCoordinated overall recruitment, selection and training of approximately 130 undergraduate residence hall live-in student staff and approximately 40 student volunteers.Facilitated Resident Advisor and Peer Conduct Board training sessions on departmental culture, job expectations and responsibilities, programming models, diversity skills training, the adjudication process and experiential confrontation skills building.Managed a recruitment and training budget of $75,000.Advised a Resident Advisor council responsible for committee representation, student recognition and training feedback.Provided support and coordination for first-year student opening weekend education activities and diversity panels.Created, maintained and trained staff on a resident advisor class curriculum for 200 student candidates.

Collaborated with Honors College faculty and staff to foster and maintain the standards of a Residential College model.Responsible for the overall management of a co-educational residence hall housing 400 first-year and upper class students.Supervised, trained, and evaluated one graduate Assistant Residence Director and up to 12 Resident Advisors.Served as a judicial hearing officer and coordinated incident review meeting process for students in violation of University policies and procedures.Facilitated Resident Advisor training sessions on common language around diversity, mediation and confrontation skills, and programming models.Managed a programming, training and hall council budget of $5,000.Provided crisis management and duty coverage for a residential area of 2,500 students.Created and implemented programming initiatives utilizing departmental philosophies and a programming model based on a Social Justice curriculum, Personal Development, Academic Development, Community Development, Multicultural Awareness, and Alcohol and Other Drugs.Advised a hall council responsible for educational and social programming.Selected to oversee various aspects of a mid-year transition of 400 students to a newly constructed residence hall.Facilitated the implementation and development of an environmental co-op, an academic and a service orientated community, a social justice themed community, and a quiet lifestyle floor.Advised student standards board responsible for recruitment, selection and behavioral accountability.Supervised and evaluated a professional-level Administrative Assistant.
