About Tomasz Kramek

During 18 years with the company ITM I gained enormous practical and theoretical experience of diversity tobacco treatment processes. I have been involved in projects in about 200 factories on all continents. Each of them is a new experience and new technical solutions. With the realization of the above projects I had the opportunity to meet new people and new cultures, which allowed me to better understand the needs and expectations of the business partners in different parts of the world.Projects in which I was involved was carried out both in the fully automated, ultra-modern facilities, as well as very simple factories where the production process was based on the work of human hands. I got to know tobacco treatment process from raw leaf processing (GLT) by Standard Primary, combined lines, RYO, MYO, production of cigars (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Denmark), storage and transportation of cut tobacco, and reclaiming. In addition, I have been deeply involved in development projects related to tobacco degradation reduction and in the development of the optical scanning system for cut tobacco. I have patents related to cut tobacco transport to the cigarette makers and from the tobacco reclaiming area.In order to ensure comprehensive implementation of projects many times worked with companies providing specialized process machinery. Due to the nature of the Primary, in any situation proposed solutions do not require line stop or line stoppage was restricted to a minimum. An important factor to be taken into account in each case was also the total cost of the project. For many years I represented the ITM on Tobacco Colloquium.
