I am responsible for assessing the scientific validity of various products related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and immune function testing. This includes: accuracy and validity assessment of coronavirus tests (RT-PCR, RT-LAMP and Antibody); development of a novel immune system test that assesses the immune system response to a variety of viral threats; building an immune system profiling and optimisation app; quality assurance testing of various PPE including masks, gloves etc.; strategic advice on Covid-19 related products, back-to-work antiviral technology and cold-chain solutions for vaccine distribution. I have given multiple webinars, press interviews and written content for publication online and in the UK national press relating to Virax products and coronavirus solutions.

I was the chief scientific officer for Verita Wisdom (VW). This involved, helping to ensure the highest medical, data protection and quality standards were adhered to in the design, development, medical quality, accuracy, effectiveness and usability of all products on the VW platform. This included all Verita apps, personal health assessments, health analytics, and proactive health and wellness management solutions. My remit also covered strategic business planning and forecasting, along with providing support for VW presales, sales and business development activity in the UK and abroad. I was also required to help identify, develop and implement cutting edge MedTech innovations in conjunction with Verita’s research partners.

I was responsible for all scientific aspects of the business. This included: assuring the scientific validity and accuracy of the Soza Health System (SHS) for the early detection of health and performance status, as well as ongoing refinement and optimisation of the SHS performance as the dataset of test results expanded. I led research and development of new and existing Soza Health products, and development of automated, tailored, diet and lifestyle interventions, which were specific to a customer’s test results. These were designed to be available in a personalised report during an hourly consultation. I also wrote and created content for the Soza Health blog and customer portal.I was instrumental to the expansion of Soza Health internationally, with clinics in the UK, South Africa and Canada and development talks for expansion into the US, Europe, The Middle East, India and East Asia. A vital part of my role was to secure deals with various corporates to provide health screening to their employees and to develop partnerships with private healthcare companies, so that the SHS can be offered within their product portfolio. An additional part of this international expansion was to determine international regulations for health and wellness products, and to ensure that Soza Health complied with government directives in each country of operation.

I headed the quality assurance and scientific development team. This involved the design and implementation of two clinical studies to assess the accuracy and validity of a prototype health assessment method (the Soza Health assessment system). This involved working with a multidisciplinary team in Russia, Europe and the UK. I have written a series of data reports for internal use and an accuracy and validity report that compares the prototype Soza Health assessment method to standard medical diagnosis.
