About Tomaz Lasic

My forte has always been deep understanding of educational practices, building of relationships and working with people. While my educational 'backbone' is classroom teaching of various Humanities and Design & Technology subjects in middle and senior school, I have held a number of different positions, including management, in the education and e-learning field since 2000. In my most recent role, I support and coach recent teaching graduates in the public education system in Western Australia.I have a passion for developing critical and ethical thinking in children and adults, equitable and socially just schooling, and meaningful integration of technologies (digital and analogue) into the pedagogical process and teaching practice. After finishing my international level playing career, I have also worked as a water polo coach from junior to Olympic levels. In 2020, I published a book titled 'The Love of Goalkeeping: Many Sports, One Love' - an exploration of what is common to goalkeepers in all sports with one.
