Tom founded and led Cabot Consultants, a five-time Forbes Best Executive Recruiting Firm, which joined the DHR platform in 2022. Previously, Tom was a Principal with the Technology practice of Heidrick & Struggles. There, Tom's expertise was recruiting CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering and other senior IT executives across all industries, as well as senior executives for high technology companies in the hardware, software, and services areas. Earlier, Tom was a Director with Gartner where he was a personal adviser to over 200 CIO and CTOs. Tom also worked for Computer Associates and Xerox Corporation.Tom's board roles include board member of Sea Colony Recreation Association, Secretary of the Washington CTO Roundtable, IT Industry Advisory for the American Public University System (APUS), Advisory Board Member for the Washington DC CIO Executive Leadership Summit, President of the Brookes Ridge Commons HOA, former former board member of Kestria, former Secretary of the Rotary Club of Tysons Corner, former Co-Chair of the Annual Fund for The Potomac School, and former President of the Great Falls Swim & Tennis Club. Tom is also a former member of the Rotary Clubs of Tysons Corner and Great Falls.Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University and is an active member of Duke's Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee.
