Technical Director at Porthlas Ltd, a telecoms consultancy business operating from South Wales, offering solutions for on premise technology, hosted comms and connectivity across a range of businesses. Main drivers are development of new business, growing and maintaining an existing client base.

My role at Ethos involved building High Level Designs for upgrades and new installations. This was often achieved through meeting with customers and getting to know what they're looking for in a solution. I'd also deal with any maintenance issues that may come my way as well as being the lead engineer for many upgrades.

At Daisy I would cover Wales and the South West of England. My duties included maintenance and installations and later I would write project plans and be involved in other ongoing projects. During my time working in the area I was able to build up a great rapport with many customers who would often contact me first if they had issues or questions. I'd address issues they may have had and pick up any potential sales leads. I'd often travel to various locations around the UK and Europe to take part in project work.

Whilst working at Mitel I spent a great deal of my time specialising in the 6100 range (CCM, IQ, MMC). Carrying out remote maintenance, supporting field engineers and achieving a high first time fix ratio. I built up great relationships with many customers even though I was primarily office based.I also supported Syntellect Commander, taking part in script/database changes and maintenance. I traveled to London many times to upgrade high profile customer suits. On a number of occasions I have been specifically requested by customers to be the lead engineer for implementation of upgrades to their systems.I started as a Mitel apprentice in 2007. One of the first line of apprentices to be brought through in over 20 years.
