Tom Caperton is President of Caperton Enterprises, a real estate and investment holding company. He currently serves on the La Cima board of governors and the board of directors as treasurer for both the Entertainment Series of Irving and the Irving Family Advocacy Center.Mr. Caperton has more than 24 years of law enforcement, security and investigative experience, with 17 years at the administrative and managerial level. His law enforcement tenure includes Chief of Police in Grapevine and Police Captain in Irving where he commanded three of the department's four divisions and held a major staff position in the fourth. He held a leadership role in the City of Irving’s withdrawal from Social Security, improvement of the City’s TMRS program, and in the establishment of the City’s Supplemental Benefit Plan, serving as the first board chairman. He was elected to the board of the Irving City Employees Federal Credit Union. He served as an adjunct professor at Dallas Christian College in the management, organizational behavior and leadership disciplines. His career has included development and management of budgets and financial plans for various organizations.
