Rushmoor Schools Plus is project managing the activities of a Raising Aspirations in Rushmoor project supported by Arts Council England in 2015-16.The activities of the project are to:• Provide inspirational training and development opportunities for key arts organisations facilitated by pioneers of various artistic disciplines• Produce a Rushmoor Arts Hub website and regular e-newsletter, listing arts events and activities in the area, providing a database of provision and updating on training and development opportunities• Host networking events for local arts organisations and artists to meet together to share ideas and develop partnerships• Create and manage a grants application scheme for young people in Rushmoor, empowering them to raise aspirations and put on their own arts activities and events locally. Also to link these young people and their projects with a creative mentor where appropriate

Rushmoor Schools Plus is a partnership of Farnborough and Aldershot schools, and numerous organisations and businesses, working together to improve opportunities for our children and families. It is the natural development of the extended schools agenda, using collaboration as a means to improve children's life chances.The twin aims of Rushmoor Schools Plus are to raise the achievement and aspirations of our children via effective partnership working.Rushmoor Schools Plus is a Community interest company, a social enterprise sustained by grant support, member contributions and contract work. We have coordination roles for the Rushmoor Local Children's Partnership, and the Rushmor Supporting Families programme, (part of the national 'Troubled Families' initiative).

I managed the extended schools agenda for Rushmoor schools, ensuring that by 2010, all schools provided access to a core offer of extended services, including childcare, a varied menu of activities, swift and easy access to specialised services, parenting support, andcommunity access to schools.More than that, it was about information reaching the people that need it most; coordinating services so there were no gaps or duplication; sharing the good news and good practice; finding the funding; and, putting people with good ideas in touch with the people who could make them work.
