I am the Chief Executive at the Community Land Trust Network, a national charity and membership body working to make the community ownership of land and affordable housing commonplace.I also do some freelance work on the side. Recent clients include the APPG for Housing and Planning, the Building Social Housing Foundation, Phases, various local authorities, Molly Scott Cato MEP and Baroness Jones of Moulsecoomb.I worked for seven years at the Greater London Authority, where I developed a considerable expertise in housing and planning policy, and a strong overview of economic, policing, transport, environment and public health policy in London. I led on communications and press work, securing front pages in national newspapers and influencing the 'public' debate on issues like the role of investors in the housing market. I managed a team of five people that supported two London Assembly Members. I also made extensive use of GIS software in my work.In previous roles I have led on sustainability policy and practice in the built environment, campaigning on a range of environmental and social justice issues, writing for trade and general interest press on the environment, politics, open source software and copyright issues, and worked as a freelance programmer and web developer.
