Profile bio

About Tom Clancy

I've been involved in every part of the application development process, brainstorming ideas with clients, gathering requirements, creating use cases, designing database and object structure, writing code, managing other developers and deploying the finished products to servers. Of course, not every application is a monster requiring hundreds of hours and multiple developers. Sometimes these tasks are clearly delineated, sometimes they're rolled up into one incredible rush, going by before they can be named. I wish that were never the case, but I'd be lying if I said I've never experienced a deadline as insane as the one you're about to ask me to meet.HTML, applications, databases are all fine things, but they're tools, means to an end and not an end in themselves. What really excites me is to work with people to create solutions that make things better, that make people happy. Regardless of the size of the work, give me a call if there's something you have that could work better and I'll be happy to help.Specialties: Python/ Django, PHP, .NET (C# mainly, but I do speak the "other" main language), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, extensive database experience in Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Redis, memcache.

Listed skills include Web Development, Jquery, Javascript, Css, and 42 others.
