I am a financial services regulatory lawyer with significant experience practicing in both the public and private sector. I am currently Head of Legal Regulatory at BNP Paribas in the U.S. Prior to this I worked as the lead regulatory counsel for GE Capital, one of the largest US financial services providers. At GE Capital I managed a global team, with members in Europe and Asia as well as the US, advising the company as it became an increasingly more highly regulated firm. During the first part of my career I worked in positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in the Legal Division of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC. My practice at the FRB involved regulating a broad range of US and non-US banking companies operating in the US, including drafting and interpreting regulations, advising the Federal Reserve Board on the permissibility of merger and acquisition transactions, and managing relationships with counsel representing regulated institutions.
