Taking the leap and leaving the Armed Services after 30 years as a Business Manager I am growing in my new role as an Operations Manager with Dunster House Ltd. Working specifically to manage and direct operations, developing improvements in product turnarounds and efficiencies, all while tackling the day to day issues that impact national operational outputs. In 2015, I graduated from Southampton Solent University with a MBA. For many years I have worked as a senior business professional gaining valuable experience at Director level as a Personnel/HR and Finance Director, Quality Management Director and Change / Project Director. A self-starter who excels at leading teams, is keen to guide them through change and to embed a continuous improvement culture with a keen eye on maintaining the benefits of a fully diverse work force. Previous experience in the Defence Industry has provided me with a variety of opportunities to develop senior leadership and team management expertise in multiple environments around the world – a sound foundation for my future career. Fun fact and leadership challenge: as part of an army health recovery pathway I lead a team of injured soldiers on an extended cycle tour through the UK, from Lands End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland.
