Towncar / Grand Marquis program -- system/ component cost reductions implemented and validated. Warranty improvement actions effected. ABS module warranty spiked on this program, management asked me to look into it. Final conclusion was climate change. Vehicles in specific regions of country had been flooded due to excessive rain events. Also the ABS module was packaged down low in the engine compartment. Talks with dealers in regions where modules had been warranted exposed this risk.Econoline Van program -- was converted to Disc - Disc brake system from Disc - Drum for Roll Stability Control Integration. This involved all five chassis E150-E550, required repackaging of wheel speed sensors, each chassis having different mechanical brakes, new level ABS controller with EBD electronic brake distribution, and recalibration. Managed single sourced supplier of five vehicle system and supported all vehicle level calibration trips to cold and hot locations

Four Winns (privately owned) was purchased by OMC Outboard Marine Corporation contingent upon the successful three year transition period by the family owners to an expected new management team.I was an integral part of a 4 member transition team that led the establishment of a management system for control of manufacturing and engineering activities.I had the following tasks: lead quality engineer and support for 4 plants sport boat, trailer, teakplant, yacht plant . -Established styrene monomer applications improvement and control methods resulting in more consistent application of resins ( open mold chopper gun fiberglass composite assembly method)achieving average savings of $130.00 per sport boat hull and measureable reductions in gel coat blistering/chaulking warranty claims. -Participated in establishment of drawing controls and traceability. A system of manually created paper drawings was improved to achieve control over effectivity and traceability of design levels. -Wrote complete set of operations procedures by build station for hull manufacturing and assembly operations of the sport boat plant. -Participation in team meetings for modifications to existing assembly and hull manufacturing processes.
