I'm working as a Ruby on Rails developer for an agency in Beijing, offering support for several key projects. I was initially contracted to introduce exciting new functionality, such as interactive navigation, carousels and animations. However, I quickly took up the role of deploying the online Dyson brand into the Chinese Market. In recent months I've been technical lead on several high profile new product launches, using cutting edge interactive functionality.

I acted as the sole developer in the company, performing tasks such as: writing functional specs from client requirements, building WP based sites, bug fixing project functionality and writing technical documentation for the client handover. I acted as the Lead Developer for the Business 2012 project and aided in the production of the interactive website. This was a six month contract to create dynamic content on the website, to enable visitors to book seminars, products, exhibitors & workshops for a business exhibition being hosted at the O2 Arena in March 2012. My role involved planning and building the backend and front-end development of the website, with flowcharts, spreadsheets and a functional specification for accuracy. This project was built on a CMS (Wordpress) platform with the latest technologies and coding conventions at our disposal.

At S&B I acted as the System Administrator for a LAN network which served to over 500+ teachers and students, spanning across three buildings. The system administration responsibilities also included providing IT support for the company employees throughout the academy. Additionally I launched and managed the S&B website and web portal (Moodle) which was served to the general public and it's teachers & students.

I assisted in answering and solving technical questions, related to a range of products on offer at the Maplin store. This involved one to one time with customers, meeting and understand their requests.
