Having grown up at Derecktor Shipyards, Tom was immersed in building some of the most iconic vessels in the world, including America’s Cup winner “Stars & Stripes” and the 3,000-ton yacht “Cakewalk,” the largest yacht ever built in the U.S. As the founder of TracRac Inc., Tom successfully led the company to become a Tier 1 automotive supplier, providing innovative cargo-carrying solutions to GM, Ford, and Chrysler before its acquisition by Thule in 2008. Currently, he is Co-Founder of Derecktor Design, where he continues to drive innovation by collaborating with partners to bring complex ideas to life through advanced engineering and cutting-edge technology. He is also Co-Founder of Derecktor Ventura where he is developing a world-class marine center in Southern California. With nine U.S. patents to his name, Tom is recognized not only for his technical expertise but also for his ability to solve complex problems creatively and collaboratively, guiding projects from concept to completion.
