Rayburn Tours supports its teachers and students in bringing its destinations to life and sustaining the memory into the classroom.Key Achievements- Following strategic review of the education division I subsequently took control of the division during which I established a strategy which took advantage of the division's considerable resource and experience. This resulted in a better defined product mix and a more confidant and motivated team. The division went on to exceed all sales targets for an 18 month period. - Set up a brand new sports division moving the business closer to a one stop shop for school and youth groups. - Working with the head of Venture Abroad established a marketing and pricing strategy to maximise revenue from a multi-site European camp-site provision. In a difficult climate with challenging and complex circumstances we manged to exceed agreed occupancy levels. - Initiated a top down process review, looking primarily at our customer's journey. The sales strategy which was born on the back of this review went some way to deliver over 30% growth in year on year sales. - Selling and operating systems review resulting in major efficiency savings and a platform for which accurate and relevant MI can now be obtained. Giving key stakeholders the information they need to take the business forward. The complex data was refined to meet the needs of the different stakeholders which created a culture of accountability.Being part of the senior management team I had the opportunity to provide guidance and advice to many of the division managers. I found myself in a unique position where I was able to support many projects that all fed into to the ambitious growth plans at the time.

Working directly for the Vice Chancellor (John Coyne) and the Deputy Chief Exec (Hari Punchihewa) I was asked to deliver a full commercial review of their newly acquired Outdoor Leadership Centre in Buxton.Working with key stakeholders within the University and utilising my working knowledge of the site and the residential education market I produced a piece of work which ultimately guided the University in taking the site forward.
Following successful transformation of Teamlink and its integration into TUI PLC. I was asked to undertake a similar review of 3 more businesses within the TUI Sports Education Division including Edwin Doran Sports Tours, Gullivers Sports Tours and Masterclass. The scope of this project was to review each business and provide guidance on how to best take them forward focusing on improving efficiencies, creating best practices across the family of businesses. The project scope also included the rollout of new reservations system to all four businesses and a full review of the supplier portfolio.The supplier review went on to help establish a better defined product offering for each business. This ensuring the brands were able to perform in the same market place with less overlap and a strategic control on price.
