Research Director
Provide research and advisory services in the IT areas of managed and hosted communications, outsourcing, and network-centric BPO (such as mobile telecom expense management). Deliver strategic guidance and practical advice for market development, service and product definition, channel approaches, and competitive analysis.• Advise a high volume of Gartner clients -- including service providers, end-user enterprises, and investment houses -- from IT managers to C-level executives and business unit leaders• Write and publish peer-reviewed unique research on IT market trends, best practices, SWOT analyses of IT providers, vendor critical capabilities, and competitive landscapes• Travel and represent the Gartner brand at formal strategy sessions with enterprise executives • Create original presentations and deliver at Gartner industry events, executive briefings, and sales engagements• Work with Gartner consulting to support development and presentation of large consulting projects• Review services proposals and contracts to determine soundness of market pricing, terms, and conditions • Evaluate and review RFPs, SLA’s and SOW’s to ensure that they address all critical areas including completeness and relevance of content
