Thomas Economou has been a prominent member of Doukas School, a K-12 private institution in Greece with over 1,700 students, since 2014. Serving as a researcher, teacher trainer, curriculum development expert, and project manager within the Research & Innovation Department, where he currently holds the position of R&I Department Coordinator. Additionally, he has been a member of the European Association of Career Guidance (EACG) and the European Association of ERASMUS Coordinators (EAEC) since 2022 .In March 2021, leveraging his expertise in Technology Education and Digital Systems, Thomas expanded his professional portfolio by becoming an EU Project Manager and researcher at the School of the Future International Academy (SoFIA), a UK-based NGO. Since 2023, he has furthered his impact in the education sector through his collaboration with THALES Foundation (Cyprus) as part of their European strategic development team.Thomas has been involved and has had a major role in over 50 multidisciplinary projects, focusing on, among others, innovative teaching techniques, STEM/STEAME, reading skills, and environmental education, within the frameworks of ERASMUS+ and H2020/HORIZON programmes. He has organized and participated in numerous 3-5 day European professional development courses and has served as a teacher trainer in more than 15 events focused on ICT integration in education, online learning, and STEM/STEAME education.His contributions extend to organizing teacher training workshops at various European and international conferences, where he has also presented research articles and papers. As an editor and contributor, Thomas has been instrumental in the creation of over 10 teacher training methodology guides and more than 60 publications detailing European project outcomes, primarily in the field of school education.
