We uncovered a widespread problem: many top-tier studios, generating millions were using illegal software from audio vendors. Recognizing the severe impact on Waves and other companies, and witnessing the inaction from authorities, I decided it was time to act.I founded BanPiracy Inc., rallying a coalition of courageous audio companies to combat software piracy head-on. Our mission took us to over 1,800 recording studios worldwide in a matter of months, navigating diverse legal landscapes and uncovering the shocking extent of the problem. The majority of the industry was thriving on illegal software, profiting at the expense of legitimate vendors.We didn't just expose the issue; we offered solutions. By turning many studios legitimate and providing payment plans and support for those who couldn't afford licenses, we restored integrity to the industry.
