As a farmer based in North Northumberland, I am deeply committed to sustainable food production. Our approach embraces a diverse farming model, centered around organic and regenerative practices but drawn from a range of disciplines. At Mindrum, we specialize in producing high-quality beef, lamb, and a variety of cereals, harnessing natural systems through regenerative farming techniques. Its a learning curve, but its incredibly rewarding and makes business sense too!For over twenty years, my team and I have developed and executed a comprehensive range of agro-environmental projects. These initiatives not only enhance our farming practices but also contribute positively to our local ecosystem.Beyond my farming endeavours, I am actively involved in a variety of voluntary roles. I lend my support and expertise to several local, regional, and national organizations, furthering causes that are close to my heart.My professional journey spans three decades, during which I’ve gained extensive experience in information technology, with a particular focus on security and resilience. This background has equipped me with a unique perspective that I now apply to the realm of sustainable agriculture, aiming to produce healthy food that benefits both people and the planet.Outside of my professional life, I am a keen gardener, sharing glimpses of my work at Mindrum Garden on Instagram and Twitter (@mindrumgarden). Music is another avenue of expression for me; I enjoy playing and occasionally crafting Northumbrian Smallpipes.
