• Programmed on embedded Windows 7 platform, including refactoring and fixing bugs for M500. Worked on projects for kiosks, computer rentals, cloud logins, and wide-format printing with HP T3500. Developed online pay.
• Optimized CPU and multithreading performance with Intel Parallel Studio and DevPartner, increasing user response times and working balance for CPUs.
• Reduced size of code base and simplified maintenance, optimizing document printing performance by making printing procedure uniform for various formats of documents to print in pdf format.
• Fixed memory leaks by making M500 run continuously for 3 weeks without memory problems, reducing memory footprint.

• Developed McAfee SiteAdvisor on Windows platform. Added new features, fixed bugs, refactored legacy code, completed performance turning, and created unit tests with small agile team.
• Researched solution to add plugin into Windows 8 IE10 Metro, finding back door to insert SiteAdvisor into IE10 Metro pre-release version.
• Optimized SiteAdvisor loading time from 1 – 2 sec to 40 – 150 ms, minimizing our plugin each time IE started (Microsoft suggests to disable plugins with loading times 200 ms+).
• Won McAfee Bravo Awards in Consumer Engineering for inserting annotations in Outlook for dangerous URLs after extensive research to ensure solution worked on all Microsoft supported Windows and Outlook versions.
• Wrote code to extract downloaded files’ meta data, digital certificates, and checksums and reported data to backend server with configurable download protection settings, helping end users keeping dangerous downloads.
• Analyzed client-side URL redirection, making social networking sites’ bad URLs get annotated properly.

• Designed and programmed basic components and shared libraries.
• Implemented and maintained 3D web browser called Pogo, delivering digital data on various formats as clients required.
