AxFlow BV is a representative of high-quality pumps, agitators, dosing equipment, valves & closures and analytical equipment in the Netherlands and Flanders. Additionally, AxFlow is a service organization and system builder for complete fluid processing skids. As a Product Manager, I am responsible for sales of a part of the AxFlow portfolio. My portfolio includes products for the high-end industrial process industry. Besides sales management activities, this broad role extends in a technical advisory role, which is part of the added value for AxFlow. Tasks: • Achieving the budget for both revenue and margin for the product groups within my portfolio through various sales activities. • Developing marketing plans and determining product strategies. • Managing outside sales representatives and providing technical and commercial support. • Continuously discussing policy improvements to proffesionalize the organization. Result: In a dynamic environment where changes in the market, internal changes, and changes in our suppliers organizations have a major impact on daily operations, I have been able to position myself as a guiding and stable factor. In the context of personal development, I have made enormous strides and worked on important (leadership) competencies. That I have been able to develop various leadership competencies is evident, from for example my participation in the ‘Talent Acceleration Program’ of Axel Johnson International in Sweden, the parent organization of AxFlow. I was nominated to be part of this training programm by the Managing Director. In addition, I am involved in the project team for the development of new digital systems and have taken responsibility in initiating the professionalization of the company by setting up various functional consultations and (external) technical training.

Specsavers is a company that offers optical and audiology services. Within my role as Jr. Finance Business Partner I was part of the Commercial Finance department of the Netherlands Support office.Tasks:• Create periodic and ad-hoc financial reports to support store management in their operations.• Offer Financial information and advice to the MT.• Store valuations calculations• Assist in Financial reporting (monthly/yearly closures)• Responsible for operational activities Specsavers B2B.• Redesigning the B2B offer within Specsavers Netherlands.• Contribute to workflow improvementsResults:I started at Specsavers in a simple Invoice Support role, where I made myself familiar with the company’s way of working and gained knowledge on the financial aspects of a large company. This then gave room for expanding the role. The offer from the company to grow into a new position proves the satisfaction. Fulfilling operational tasks was the primary activity, but providing input on processes and thinking along with improvements has increasingly become part of the role. Here, I have been able to gain substantive knowledge of the financial branche.

Feenstra is one of the largest energy service organizations for consumers in the Netherlands. For many households, Feenstra is the first point of contact for central heating. As a Technical service planner, it was my responsibility to ensure proper management of Ad-hoc service orders to on-duty technicians outside of office hours.Tasks:• Assess incoming service orders from customer service. • Prioritize incoming orders and manage technicians workload.• Procure parts in case of emergencies. • First point of contact for technicians in case of calamities. Result: Work carried out to satisfaction during a high pressure period (winter season). Through a proactive and humane approach, my responsibilities kept growing. Proven by an increasing area of coverage and a complete independence in quieter periods (summer season).

Started as a Product Developer after completing a successful graduation internship. Here, I was responsible for leading the project to a good result and answering new technical questions. I was also working on optimizing the current product portfolio. Good communication with stakeholders was of upmost importance. Tasks:• Realizing the graduation project• Answering new technical questions• Optimizing the current product portfolio Result: A new modular system that matched to a large part of the products. This has resulted in a process adjustment in the production line, improving the throughput speed of a large part of the products. The graduation project was completed successfully and my design was presented at the Horecava (the largest hospitality fair in the Netherlands).

Ovri produces high-quality stainless steel products and equipment in the industrial proffessional kitchen market. It was my task to graduate working for this company after a half year project. Stainless steel processing is an old profession and people tend to resist change quickly. It was my challenge to manage the expectations of each stakeholder during my project and to convert this resistance into acceptance. Tasks:• Researching improvement points • Developing a modular system to improve lead time Result:After my graduation period, I was able to present a design proposal to the management. This was so well received that I was able to join the company immediately to further develop this proposal.
