I am one of the fourth generation owners of the oldest continuously family run General Contractors in New York City. For over 135 years my family has built office space with an unmatched level of dedication and expertise. As with all of the Gallins, I started as a laborer at 18 while attending college. The knowledge and insight from working your way up the ladder gave me the clearest view point to see the entire build out process - from the physical building to client relations. When this unique experience is combined with my college and graduate education, I am able provide every client a complete understanding of the entire construction process.

As the CFO I am responsible for all of the finances of the company which includes project cost control for every project, union relations, human resources, office management, purchasing paper clips and soda for the pantry.• 1998-2000 – Controller I managed the A/P, A/R, Payroll departments as well as our union relationships. In this role I enhanced our corporate relationships with clients as well as with our subcontractors. During this time I was able to improve our project specific financial controls, monitor our subcontractor’s financial health and highlight any potential problems. 1996-1998 – Marketing I created all client proposals, developed a marketing program, created a marketing database, and revised our current marketing material. By illustrating the larger number of repeat clients over the span of decades showcased the consistency of Gallin’s workmanship as well the loyalty we have to our clients.1995-1996 – Estimator I was assigned various bid opportunities and created a comprehensive proposal to perform the work. I interacted with subcontractors to ensure they understood the scope of work and that their pricing included all items requested. I also assisted the project team in clarifying certain aspects of the project when field situations arose. 1994-1995 – Plan Clerk I was responsible for accepting, logging, and distributing all of the paperwork required for the estimating and production departments. This allowed me to have a smooth transition from the field to the office by teaching me the paperwork side of a buildout.• 1987-1994 – Mason TenderI preformed project site maintenance.
