The Belgian Society for Occupational Hygiene (B.S.O.H. v.z.w.) respresents the Belgian community of Occupational Hygienists. De Vlaamse Wetenschappelijke Vereniging voor Arbeidsgezondheidskunde is een multidisciplinaire wetenschappelijke vereniging van deskundigen in het domein van arbeid, gezondheid en welzijn.Algemene doelstelling is de bescherming en bevordering van de gezondheid en het welzijn van de werkende bevolking. Specifieke doelstelling van de vereniging is de ontwikkeling van de arbeidsgezondheidskunde en de bedrijfsgezondheidszorg binnen de Vlaamse gemeenschap.

Active as teacher within the HOWEST, department PIH, Laboratory of Biochemistry. Teaching activities included practical exercises biochemistry, environmental microbiology and biotechnology for industrial engineers.

Active as PhD student within the department of Molecular Biotechnology (Ghent University, prof. dr. P. Van Oostveldt), Laboratory of Immunology and Animal Biotechnology (prof. dr. D. Vanrompay) on a BOF project of the university entitled “Study on cellular and molecular impact of type III secretion in Chlamydophila psittaci pathogenesis”. This work resulted in a PhD thesis entitled "Identification and Characterization of a type three secretion system in genotypes of Chlamydophila psittaci".
