As a member of the board and passionate alumnus of the Everett Program, I work to connect and engage a network that is constantly growing and now entering its third decade.I serve the board as contact coordinator and lead technologist. In this capacity I have built the EAF website, designed a contact and donor management system, and manage all member communications activities.

The Everett Program is a year-long, project-based information technology and social entrepreneurship program at the University of California Santa Cruz. Everett trains passionate undergrads to be the next generation of tech-savvy entrepreneurs and activists by designing and implementing projects by themselves or as capacity builders at nonprofits and NGOs.As Associate Director of Technology at Everett I:• Support and oversee student tech teachers• Consult on a variety of social justice projects• Write internal documentation• Support any need the organization hasMy main achievements include:• Establishing a culture of process and documentation to combat the never ending knowledge loss• Built out our contact database from scratch using CiviCRM• Overhauled the GISES major• Raised funds in excess of $175k

Oversaw the Tech Lab Program at the Everett Program. Managed Fellows who teach labs ranging from web design to GIS mapping to mobile apps. Contributed lesson content and teaching support.

The Everett Program creates websites for internal documentation, university information, for interdisciplinary projects, and cross-university contracts.

Led two workshops entitled "Becoming a Power User: Efficiency and Automation in Research" for researchers on how to establish power user behaviors to be more efficient. Created various materials to support it http://ceri.everettprogram.org/tech-for-research/power-user.

While in this position I conducted research for papers and presentations regarding African Muslim social movements, African Human Security, Nigerian demographics, and prepared course materials for graduate seminars. My work included mapping, data analysis, fact checking, and extensive organization.I manage a massive research repository, created cartographic representations of demographic crises, and navigated research databases across multiple university systems.

The Youth Empowerment Institute (YEI) is a yearly summer camp for Pajaro Valley and Salinas Valley high school students that merges college access with emerging technology. Our week-long summer camp turns students into community leaders. They participated in college access workshops I adapted and improved from my time as co-director of the University & College Access Network and an intensive mobile apps development program I developed for the camp. The end result was a "College Mentor App"​ for distribution at their school.The students'​ mobile app won a young innovators contest sponsored by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. UCAN is a student run college mentorship initiative at UC Santa Cruz connecting undergrads with students at Soquel High. During my time as co-director I performed the following responsibilities:• Taught a 10 week 90 minute class to prepare undergraduate volunteers for their role as mentors• Worked with Soquel High administrators to • Decided the overall lesson plan for both the preparatory quarter and implementation period• Incorporated student feedback on curriculum• Designed web site and wrote 90% of it's content• Created Prezis to accompany my talks at the high school

The Everett Fellows Coordinator acts as intermediary between the Everett Fellows and Everett Staff. Responsibilities included:• Manage the fellows and allocate tasks as needed• Plan agenda for and moderate bi-weekly meetings of between 12 and 20 individuals• Conduct well prepared interviews of new fellows• Train new fellows in our processes and databases• Decide timeframes for new fellow applicants.
