About Tom Gelles

Early in my career (maybe even in college) someone told me “nothing happens until someone sells something.” After 25+ years in sales, I can honestly say this is true! If you can tie your love of the sales profession to something that helps others, it becomes a win-win. Then if you get a chance to coach other people, guide them to their dreams and help them accomplish the unthinkable, you have something special. Starting with TSI as an independent contractor sales rep in 1991 proved to me that you can enjoy a job, make a decent living and help others. I poured myself into the job and it became a career. I was promoted to run the Des Moines, Iowa office then another promotion brought me to Kansas City. Drive, passion and a desire to help others eventually moved me up to a VP position with TSI. After 26 fun, challenging and rewarding years, I made a jump in 2017 to DataFile Technologies. DFT offered me a chance to learn something new outside of revenue cycle management. I grabbed it with both hands and lead the team to heights it has never seen before. In 2018, I had a chance to knock out a goal of mine...work for one of Ingram's Magazine's Best Companies to Work for in KC. That company, Netsmart, not only offered me a great place to grow and succeed, but they are making a difference in the community each and every day though their EveryDayMatters Foundation. I encourage you to check it out! I am a lifelong learner with the desire to hit goals, help others and make a difference in the lives of those I work with as well as the organization I represent.Lastly (but not least) I was the back-to-back ping pong champion of Northstar Elementary (5th and 6th grade).
