I am experienced in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for both Operational and Financial controls. I am also experienced in managing to these KPI’s on an ongoing basis.Within the scope of managing North American Transportation, I managed a $20M cost for public carriers and freight forwarders using both operational and financial KPI’s combined with Budget targets.These KPI’s were developed in Excel and I trained my two Transportation Managers to mine the transaction data for KPI variance drivers. While managing Logistics (Warehousing, Transportation, Customer Service, and Demand Planning) for Canadian operations, I developed KPI’s for 3rd-Party Warehousing and managed our 3PL-operated warehousing with them. I can contribute to an organization’s growth with out-of-the-box thinking and innovative solutions to problems.Within the scope of managing North American Domestic Parcel Transportation, I brought Salon operations into compliance by developing and implementing a unique Hazmat Return program across North America, avoiding withdrawal of services by parcel carriers.While managing Logistics for Canadian operations, I reduced costs and improved operational responsiveness by establishing an in-warehouse co-packing operation, using a 3rd-party provider. This move supported the growth in promotional activity driven by expanding sales.I have successfully managed Logistics staff in integrated operational environments where Warehousing, Transportation and Customer Service need to work together to ensure Customer satisfaction. I have managed such a team directly for Canadian operations and I have also led a Transportation team in a cross-functional environment.At this point in my career I am looking to contribute to a growing company where I can help develop the infrastructure needed to manage the business and to serve as a mentor to other staff.I am available to discuss new opportunities.
