My expertise in representing radiologists and diagnostic imaging providers is grounded in many years of serving clients in every region of the country. My career truly began after law school at the American College of Radiology's Legal Department, ultimately as the ACR’s General Counsel. It would be the foundation of my career in private practice first at Hazel & Thomas and then at the Northern Virginia office ReedSmith LLP. I continue to build my practice as a sought-after speaker for conferences held for diagnostic imaging professionals.Leadership positions and awards received throughout my career: • Immediate Past Board President of Neighborhood Health, an FQHC serving patients in Northern Virginia• Board member of Radiology Business Management Association• Past Chair of the Virginia Bar Association’s Health Law Section• Past President of the American Society of Medical Association Counsel• Past Chair of Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center • Awarded the "President’s Award" from the Radiology Business Management Association, 2003• "Calhoun Award" for dedicated service in 2009 by RBMA• Top ten "Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyers" in the United States, 2004 & 2009 In recent years, I have turned my attention to health care policy through advocacy: First as president of the Dulles Area Democrats and most recently with the Democratic Business Council of Northern Virginia, where I am also a past-president. I was selected by my peers and the publishers of Virginia Business Magazine as one of Virginia's "Legal Elite: Health Law"​ attorneys, and I have been named a "Super Lawyer" by DC Super Lawyers and by Virginia Super Lawyers in the area of Health Care Law.
