I’m a lucky guy. I get to work with some extremely talented, fun and genuinely good people on the Analytics team at FORVIS. We all have a passion for designing and building new technology based solutions for clients, using a number of tools including Tableau, Alteryx, ACL and SQL.I’m curious by nature, so learning about the problems we are trying to solve is a fun part of the analytics process for me. Communication is key, and it is critical to set aside ego to facilitate honest and open discussion during all phases of the analytics process—-especially when gaining an understanding of the problem, and when receiving feedback / iterating.I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and data to solve puzzles and problems, and really don’t like doing the same thing over and over. So, solving a problem once gives me a lot of satisfaction, and automating that solution for broad deployment is the icing on the cake for me.Developing team members, team strategy and serving as a resource for others are all aspects of my job I find very rewarding.
