An open minded and award winning innovator* with a personal and professional desire to reduce the environmental impact of consumer and industrial products. I am a challenger of the status quo and a firm believer that solutions are there to be found. My professional experience dates back 23 years, initially working in the consumer products sector with Reckitt and for the last 15 years in forest products. Originally I was focused on market and consumer insight but have been firmly focused on sustainability and innovation ever since. I have worked for 4 multi-national companies but am now focused on delivering freelance projects via Brand Ethics consulting.I have a real knack of being able to deliver complex projects that require managing cross functional teams, a good example being the market launch of Xpression E-Com, a bespoke paper grade for the e-commerce mailing bag market. Presenting to large audiences is a particularly strong skill of mine and I have been fortunate enough to have been invited to speak at various industry events and internal conferences – most recently I hosted and presented on 2 international webinars focused on the circular economy and innovations in packaging. *I was awarded the “Think New” award by BillerudKorsnäs at a ceremony in Stockholm in Dec 2017 and have a patent registered in my name in relation to a paper based e-commerce mailing bag.

Business Development Director - End User ManagementBillerud Feb 2016 - Jul 2020Solna, Stockholm, SeI worked with Brand Owners and Retailers to understand how we could improve their existing packaging portfolio. My main project was to develop a paper based E-Commerce mailing bag (and to introduce an E-Com specific paper grade) to replace the rarely recycled PE mailing bag. I was part of the Packaging Papers business area which covers a wide array of paper based products with the focus on eliminating unecessary plastics. At BillerudKorsnas the ethos was "challenge conventional packaging for a more sustainable future" which summarises things nicely. I helped Brand Owners and Retailers move away from fossil fuel based materials (mainly plastics) and towards renewable, recyclable, low carbon paper based products/packaging. -
