Led all aspects of the finance function for EVERFI, an education technology company focused on delivering critical skills education via scalable, data-driven software in North America and the UK. Successfully completed a sale process to Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB) for $750M in December 2021 and the subsequent finance integration in 2022. Prior to acquisition, EVERFI was backed by TPG and had over $100M in annual recurring revenue and 500+ employees. Partnered with the business to drive cost efficiencies, improving adjusted EBITDA by 20%, while achieving double digit organic revenue growth and led strategic initiatives such as the $100M disposition of the higher education business unit sold to Vector Solutions in July 2021. Responsibilities for a total team of 20-25 employees also included real estate, facilities, insurance, equity compensation and sales/revenue operations.

Led team of ~10 responsible for all aspects of accounting, tax and payroll with a focus on process improvement and scale to support the business growth and international expansion.

Verizon created Verizon Media (formerly Oath) through the acquisition of Yahoo combined with the existing AOL assets (now spun out again under the Yahoo brand). Led the integration of the AOL Controller’s global organization of ~170 into Oath. Team included all aspects of the controller’s organization, including accounting & reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, shared services and treasury.

Oversaw an international team of ~80-85 responsible for worldwide revenue (primarily online advertising revenue) and expense accounting, consolidation and management reporting for AOL, a division of Verizon. Prior to Verizon's $4.4 billion acquisition of AOL in June 2015, responsibilities also included reporting to the SEC.

Managed a team of eight responsible for Edtech software & non-software revenue accounting & technical accounting, including all aspects of equity and complex transactions. Also managed billing operations, SEC reporting through the October 2011 $1.6 billion acquisition by Providence Equity Partners and reporting to lenders and investors subsequent to the acquisition, as well as all aspects of international statutory reporting including transfer pricing.

Member of team responsible for SEC reporting post spinoff from Time Warner in December 2009, as well as all aspects of accounting policy.

Managed US GAAP compliance and application for AOL Europe (2006 revenue – $1.9 billion) as part of the European consolidation team based in London, UK.

Managed the accounting relationship with various international entities

Managed day-to-day onsite audit field work for clients engaged in a variety of industries including airlines, tech, health care, Federal government, non-profit organizations and SEC registrants.
