I am a Business Analyst with over 20 years of experience in a number of Insurance vertical markets in particular Commercial and Personal Lines, Health and Aggregation and my areas of expertise are Business Analysis and Design, Consultancy and Test Management. I have had responsibility for user requirements gathering, producing functional and technical specifications, software configuration, creating and mapping use cases, creating and executing test cases and reporting progress and issues to senior management and customers. In particular I have extensive experience of implementing health and general insurance systems both domestically and across Europe. I have received a number of client commendations for delivering fully specified systems on time and within budget. Additionally I have gained experience of Insurance Aggregation systems mainly the Offshore Energy of exposure calculations, system design and imports/exports. I have also had experience of Pre-Sales and Bid Support providing technical, product and market information to the Sales team during the bid process. My style of working with customers, internal teams and partners is one of collaboration, partnership and transparency. This involves sharing and respecting common goals, targets and aspirations, pooling knowledge transfer through training sessions with Subject Matter Experts, taking personal ownership of project areas, products and individual situations and creating trusting relationships with all parties concerned. Outside of work I have an active lifestyle with my main pastimes being football, rugby and horse riding. I am currently a player / manager of one the local football teams who play in the South Midland league. I particularly enjoy the teamwork element of the playing side whilst the managerial side enables me to mentor the younger players and motivate the older players.
