Responsible for leading and directing all aspects of the company’s Motor Claims European Operations, includes multi-site responsibility. 250 people and multiple TPA's, handling claims related to £300M Gross Written Premium. Recognised by brokers for delivering a market leading commercial claims handling service. Developing and implementing plans to support business strategy and ensuring robust governance within a complex environment for one of the largest global commercial insurers. Providing leadership across a diverse environment including: catastrophic losses; multiple suppliers, TPA’s, MGA’s, Coverholders; changing legislation; and a Global Warranty product. Member of: Claims Executive Committee; Motor Board Committee and Property & Casualty Reserving Committee; Leadership Group for Transformational Change; Property and Casualty Senior Management Team Select highlights: - Successfully delivering transformational change, including the implementation of the Guidewire software system. Sponsoring the Motor Claims programme, from system design to implementation. This included the migration of 70k live claims and 500k+ closed claims from two legacy systems. - Using agile methodology to bespoke the technology for UK Commercial Claims handling. Integrating the software solution to 20+ other applications (including transferring the operation to an electronic document management system) to optimise business processing and provide a rich functional claims engine to support end-to-end lifecycle management. Finalists in the technology category of the 2012 British Insurance Awards. - Developing real-time analytics, to drive pro-active claims decision making and provide deep insight into claims and industry trends. Enhancing performance management and strategic development. - Delivering significant savings on claims costs and operating expenses.
