Sold to TES Global in 2012.I founded Brightspark in late 2009 to build an affordable tutoring solution in a large, but expensive market.TES acquired a stake in the business in 2010 as part of their digital expansion strategy. TES is one of the largest digital communities for teachers, and publishers of the Times Education Supplement. TES acquired the remainder of the business in 2012 ahead of their sale to TPG.

I was a UK and European equities analyst and fund manager. I started at the tail end of the tech crunch, working through the bubble years and into the credit malaise of 2008/9. All very interesting. We ran a fundamental investment process, so lots of management meetings and analytical research (During this time I gained my CFA charter).
