My professional career has been in media and communications. I´m currently Head of PR and Media at Business Finland. Before this, I worked as Executive director of communications at Business Finland, and was a member of Business Finland´s Executive group. Prior to that I was director of Marketing and Communications at Tekes - the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation. My responsibilities included for example management and development of Tekes' marketing and communications, as well as liaising with partners and stakeholders. I was a member of Tekes´ Executive group.My previous position was director of communications and public relations at Teosto. I was in charge of internal and external communications and PR. I and my team focused with good results on for example social media, brand, community building and community managing. I was also a member of Teosto´s Executive group.Before entering communications, I worked for example as a tv-journalist, news anchor and breakfast-tv host at Yleisradio (Finnish Broadcasting Company). During my print media years I worked at a number of regional newspapers and at Helsingin Sanomat covering politics.I´ve also worked as a media and communications trainer, consulting a number of different professionals on how the media works, what makes a compelling story, how to formulate your message in a way that makes the headlines, how to craft a killer one-liner etc.I´ve also been a board member at ProCom - The Finnish Association of Communication Professionals.I´ve studied at City University in London, specializing in sociology and media. I´ve continued educating myself while working and completed courses in for example management and economic journalism.
