Tomisin gained a deeper understanding and experience in product design, product development, cross-team alignment, metric analysis, and big-picture analysis during his internship as a program manager at Microsoft Corp. At Microsoft, he defined, modified, and iterated on a customization feature in a product that serves 75+ million people, and presented recommendations to senior management. He also honed his design abilities by developing visual UI and UX mock-ups to serve as an implementation roadmap for identifying the cross-functional teams required to deliver new features.

Princeton, New Jersey

As a Biomechanics Student Researcher in the Mechanical and Aerospace Department at Princeton University, Tomisin investigated acoustic wave propagation in infinite, periodic media. To do this, he used theoretical physics to explore the propagation properties of elastic media and how they might change under external deformations. By employing finite element analysis, he modeled the resulting band diagrams of waves passed through certain structures. His research is applicable in designing 'wave filters' into buildings and performing stress analysis on structures.

Shanghai City, China

Ivy Camps USA is an American-style summer camp in China created to give native Chinese students an American summer camp experience. It hosts hundreds of students every year and introduces them to creative thinking and public presentation skills. Tomisin worked in the science division of the camp. He was tasked with instructing over 50 kids between the ages of 7 and 14. He helped modify and revamp the science curriculum. He also played a key role in the logistics of distribution of science and technology materials to other teachers as well as coordinating faculty. While in China, he developed basic profiency in Chinese.

Rabat Prefecture, Morocco

Addictest is an educational consultancy firm in Morocco, for students who would like to pursue undergraduate education in the United States. Tomisin designed and taught SAT tactics to the non-native English students for eight weeks. He was also tasked with working side by side students on essay writing skills and communication methods. During his time in Morocco, he travelled around Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, and Marrakech, in order to help over 200 students with their educational dreams. He was awarded a trip to the Sahara Desert for his outstanding teaching skills, and effectiveness at work.

Bratislava, Slovakia

LEAF Academy is a high school for students from Central Europe that aims to raise the future generation of leaders. Tomisin worked as an intern during a summer programme organised by LEAF Academy. He taught business and entrepreneurship curricula to non-native English students. He supplemented his teaching by also supervising a club consisting of fourteen students. When he was not in class, he organized soccer games between students for recreation. In the end, his team of students presented new business ideas to a company partner (klap messenger).
