I have been in the construction industry since 1992 including the following roles: on-site supervision, project management, operations manager, strategic planning, budgeting, asset management, marketing, estimating and safety. As vice president of Nexus 5 group, I am responsible for project managers, safety and managing overall operations. Prior to joining the N5 team in 2012, I owned Cowan Interior. Cowan Interior was a small specialty construction company in which performed interior scopes for general contractors in Kansas City. Before Cowan Interior, I spent 7 years with Performance Contracting Inc (PCI). While at PCI, I managed the field operations of 150 employees. I managed the personnel for the projects, foreman training, warehouse assets, budgets, projects (as a project manager), strategic planning and safety director. In 2002, My wife and I purchased a building and turned it into Cowan Event Center. It was a complete interior renovation and very quickly had success in booking events.
