SXM Music is a year-two destination music and lifestyle festival taking place on the island of Sint Maarten in The Caribbean. With a line up featuring the leading names in house & techno including Jamie Jones, Lee Burridge, Dubfire & Maceo Plex, the first edition (March ’16) captured the attention of the scene on a global media & associated industries with tastemakers present including Thump, Mixmag, Grazia, Metro (UK), Resident Advisor, Harpers Bazaar and Vogue.Working remotely I manage a team of seven. Challenge: To help refocus the festival and give it it’s own USP in the UK’s crowded marketplace.Result: Noisily Festival of Music & Arts is the UK’s first festively loosely modelled on the west-coast transformational scene (events like Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis & Shambala etc) where wellness and personal growth are equally as important as great music programming and production. The idea being that festival participants can experience and engage in mindfulness and personal growth, not mindlessness. With a brief to reposition the 2,000 capacity venue as one of London’s leading clubs, I created the brand 'Fire: in Session', a series of twelve high profile events featuring some of the biggest brands in electronic music scene including Bedrock, Mixmag Live, Bugged Out, RWD Live and world-renown DJ's and live acts such as Simian Mobile Disco, Vitalic, Derrick May, Erol Alkan, A Guy Called Gerald, dBridge, Etienne De Crecy and many more.As well a creating the concept, I was responsible for sourcing promoters to host each event, managing event programming, the overall series and individual event budgets, the overall marketing strategy covering street, print, digital, social media and Facebook advertising strategy.Fire in Session was voted one of the best club events in the UK by dance music bible Mixmag as part of their end of year roundup in December 2012.

Arranging high-visibility brand partnerships for Last.fm with leading UK and European festivals and high profile UK club and live promoters. Partnerships ranged from logo placement on promotional assets to hosting festival arenas and curating line-ups at 5,000 – 40,000 capacity events. One of the highlights included securing Last.fm as the main stage media partner for London’s biggest dance festival South West Four 2012. I was responsible for negotiating each partnership, creating and managing media plans, creating content strategies specific to each festival to provide the client with high quality exclusive content pre, during and post events.

With a brief to reinvigorate the Big Chill’s ailing brand and make it relevant to a music conscious crowd, I successfully implemented a cutting edge music programme that appealed to both venue-goers and media alike.Managing the programming at London venues: Big Chill House and Big Chill Bar, delivering exciting programming and events, repositioning both as destination venues. Bookings included James Blake, Joy Orbison, Julio Bashmore, Mount Kimbie, Egyptian Lover, Zed Bias, Blackout Crew (first ever London appearance!), Toddla T, Klaxons and countless others.Responsible for PR and social media strategies for both venues, ensuring key events and announcements received the best exposure through relevant media such as Time Out London, Metro, FACT Magazine and Mixmag.
